Silicic acid, which is the main component of shirasu, has excellent "humidity control", and alumina contained in shirasu adsorbs odors and chemical substances, so it is mainly "wall deodorant" and "bactericidal". It has been used as a material. Unlike diatomaceous earth, it does not require crushing or baking at high temperatures, so it is an eco-friendly material that does not consume much energy and does not burden the global environment.
